Rhaphiolepis umbellata is the most hardy of its kind. He can overwinter in the cockpit outside (protect the cockpit from frost).
The Mediterranean shrub gets white flowers in the spring and flowers in May and June.
In the autumn, the Rhaphiolepis umbellata is still flowering for a second time.
It is an evergreen plant and therefore keeps its leaves in winter.

Apart from twice a year's flowering the Indian hawthorn also gets beautiful black / blue berries in the winter.
It tolerates all types of soil and can therefore be planted in the ground without problems.
In the summer, little to normal watering is sufficient, can be reasonably good against drought.
Fertilizing in the spring is sufficient. After flowering, there may possibly be a pruning to keep the bush compact.
In the winter and in a tub, the Rhaphiolepis umbellata does not need much water.
