Nandina domestica is also called heavenly bamboo.
The name would suggest that this is bamboo, even though the leaf looks a lot like it is a shrubbery.
In the summer, flower clusters of up to 30 cm appear with small white flowers. These flowers turn into bright red berries by the autumn.
These berries contrast beautifully in winter when the bush is snowy.

The leaves of this evergreen shrub color brilliant orange / red in the autumn, a real spectacle.
This plant can be kept in a tub, but the open ground is no problem at a sheltered location.
The shrub grows rather slowly and does not grow much higher than 200 cm. By pruning you can keep it smaller.
Applying cuttings is best done in the early spring, longer shoots can be cut away so that the shrub stays full and compact.
