Lippia citriodora is also called lemon verbena (family of the Verbenaceae) or lemon bush.
It is a deciduous shrub (provided it is under 4 degrees). The leaves are elongated / lanceolate to 10 cm long and fresh green in color.
This shrub from South America is a delicious fresh scented plant.

The leaves give a lemon scent constantly without the blade having to be bruised. If the leaf is touched, the lemon scent is even stronger.
The flowers bloom from June to September and are light purple in color, about ½ cm tall and stand in groups on the stems.
This plant is versatile and is used in dishes such as fish, salads, etc. Also in ice it is wonderful to add a few fresh leaves.
A must, also delicious to draw tea from the fresh leaf!

Furthermore, the dried leaves can be used well to hang up in your linen cupboard, for example.
Dried leaves also give off a lemon scent.
Or a homemade potpourri of dried leaves on your toilet.
Winter hardiness zone 8a (-10ºC).
