Cornus kousa Chinensis is a fairly slowly growing bush, also known as the Dutch name dog breed. The Cornus kousa is native to China and Japan.
In the months of May and June, white star-shaped flowers appear and the plant is very blooming.

After flowering, bright pink / red fruits appear in the core of the flower casing and these appear somewhat on raspberries, even then the Cornus kousa is a gem in your garden.
The fruits are fine edible and taste like cranberries and are good to process jam, compote etc. or to eat.

You do not have to prune the Cornus kousa Chinensis, if only cutting old wood from the bush is sufficient.
The dogwood is leaf deciduous in winter, but in autumn the dogwood still surprises you with its beautiful leaf discolouration, which color to pink-red.
Winter hardness zone 6a (-22ºC).
