Beloperone guttata also called Justicia brandegeeana. Is known as a shrimp plant, it is a small hare from Mexico.
This very special bungalow can be kept outdoors on the terrace as well as the room plant but in summer.
It is an evergreen tropical hare and a beautifully beautiful plant.
The plant initially flourishes with small white flowers. The flowers do not give this plant a decorative thing, but the bracts that go with the bloom do.

These are red / orange to the bottom, yellow colored and shabby and hang down. The color and shape have some way of shrimp, hence the name.
The overwhelming bloom continues throughout the summer. The more sun, the more beautiful the bracts will discolor.
This plant adores a lot of light and is also happy to be sunny if you turn it off in the summer.
To fertilize the 2 to 3 weeks with planting for flowering plants in spring and summer.
During this period, keep the potting soil slightly moist.

This plant is growing slowly and becomes high after many years 70/100 cm.
Overwinter the plants at a minimum temperature of + 7ºC. If the plant cools between +7 and + 15ºC then this beautiful winter rest.
From April / May, when the shrimp plant gets hotter, bloom will rise again explosively.
We prune the plant a little back in March to keep it compact and full. Only a few long cuttings are cut from the plant.
