Colocasia esculenta Hawaiian Punch, also known as elephant ear and taro, belongs to the Araceae family. The Arum (Zantedeschia) also belongs to this family.
This Colocasia Hawaiian Punch is considered one of the most hardy and looks very beautiful.
The plant is about 100/125 cm high, has red / purple stems and large tropical-looking leaves.

The Colocasia likes to have extra water and drive-up food in the summer, this greatly benefits growth.
Can also be used as a marsh plant in a shallow pond area, the plant gets a lot of excess food from your water.
Planted in open ground, it can overwinter well, but be sure to throw a layer of peat litter where the roots are located.
This way you are assured that the plant will return with new shoots from the ground in mid-May, when the soil warms up again. Plants that we deliver between November and April have no foliage, plants will sprout again in May.
In an exotic or tropical garden, this perennial with beautiful leaves should not be missing.
Winter hardiness zone 6b (-18ºC).
