Product information
  • Article number: CHAHUM01

The Chamaerops humilis is very noticeable due to its compact leaf growth. As a rule, these palms are not much larger than 2.5 - 3 meters in our regions.
This palm is also called the European dwarf palm, originating from the regions around the Mediterranean Sea.

On the leaf of this palm are spines, has beautiful bright green compact leaves and is a real asset to the terrace or a place in the garden. This palm grows cluster-shaped and receives new shoots from the lower stem parts.

Thus, new strains grow obliquely from the bottom of the old stem so that it becomes a beautiful full multi-stemmed palm.
The Chamaerops humilis prefers a spot in the open ground where it has half shade. Can withstand heat and dryness, but is also reasonably hardy.
Winter hardiness zone 8a (-10ºC).
