This small persistent fan palm, the Chamaerops humilis Cerifera is very noticeable due to its compact leaf growth.
"Cerifera" stands for "with wax covered". It looks a lot like the Chamaerops humilis, but this Cerifera has a slightly grayer leaf color and smaller leaves.

This species is just as hardy as the regular Chamaerops humilis. As a rule, these palms do not grow much more than 2.5 - 3 meters in our climate. The Chamaerops humilis "Cerifera" also grows more slowly than the regular Chamaerops humilis.
There are spines on the leaf stems of this palm.

The palms also grow cluster-shaped from the bottom of the main stem. This also makes this Dwarf palm very nice full and compact. Partly because of its slow growth and because these palm trees are not very large, it is also an ideal container plant.

This type of palm is a real asset to the terrace or a place in the garden. Can withstand heat and drought tolerant.
Winter hardiness zone 8b (-10ºC).
