Sollya heterophylla is also known as Billardiera heterohymma. The Sollya is a permanent tub plant that likes to be in a sunny to slightly shady place.
This evergreen climber blooms from May to October very exuberantly with beautiful bell-shaped bright blue flower clusters.
After flowering, the Sollya gets special seed boxes that are blue / green in color.
The Sollya likes to supply water in time and every 2 to 3 weeks during the flowering period. This climber needs some climbing aid and eventually the plant gets up to 150 cm high.
Pruning is best done in the spring if necessary.
Overwintering in a cool place just above freezing is sufficient and watering sparingly. You can get the plant just before the first frost for wintering, preferably in a cool place.
