Erythrina falcata also called Brazilian coral tree, is a fairly rare tub plant. This special plant is limited available by us.

The Erythrina falcata originates from Brazil and also occurs in Paraguay and Argentina.

The inflorescence are clusters of about 30 cm long and the flowers of about 5 cm length are sickle-shaped and are bright red.
The flowering starts in June and continues until the end of September. When the plant has finished flowering, new buds are immediately created and flower several times in the summer.

Pruning is the same as a rose bush, pruning back to 3 eyes in late autumn / early winter.
In the spring, your pruned bare Coral shrub will quickly run out.
Many bright red flowers will soon be on the end of these new shoots. The rugged rough trunk also creates a nice contrast with the bush itself.

As a container plant, it may winter over at a temperature of + 5 ° C and is of little importance. Giving little water, at least that the soil just does not dry out is sufficient in the winter.
