Fremontodendron californicum or flannel bush occurs in California where it blooms almost the entire year. With us the flowering starts in May and lasts until at least August. If we have a hot late summer, it will bloom even longer.
The flowers of this very grateful bloomer are deep yellow in color and are more than 5 cm in diameter.
The flannel can very well against a dry place and also likes to stand there. Certainly not plant in a place that is too wet or keep it too wet in the container, this will counteract the flowering and the plant will die. 

Ideal for keeping in a tub, this way you can water the plant well to size.
After flowering, round brown hairy seed pods appear.  
Can be kept as a tub plant and can be pruned back in the winter if desired. Is also good as a leiplant to keep.
Overwintering in a tub around + 5ºC is ideal and keep the soil dry.
Winter hardiness zone 10 (0ºC).
