Citrus Yuzu is also called Citrus junos. This citrus needs the same care as other citruses. This is a cross between a Citrus ichangensis x Citrus reticulata that tastes special.
Much in demand citrus in the better restaurants for seasoning fish and other dishes.
The fruit tastes delicious, the flesh has a light lemon aroma and a slightly sweetish fruit flavor. For example, the skin smells perfumed and tastes a bit like the blossom smells, in Korea this is used to make Yujacha, a simple but very tasteful tea.

The Citrus ichangensis is one of the most hardy lemons and Citrus reticulata is a mandarin.
This Citrus Yuzu is hardy to -10ºC. If the plant is in a pot, it will overwinter free of frost.
The pot is not allowed to freeze. If planted in the open ground then protect the plant extra if it gets colder than the indicated winter hardiness.

The blossom of this citrus smells wonderful during the summer months and is an asset on any terrace.
Is an easy citrus tree that only requires a slight pruning to contain the lush growth in a bit.
Pruning back the plant is possible at the end of September or the beginning of October, leaving 1/3 of the shoots on, then the plant remains nicely full.

In a greenhouse, a citrus plant blooms almost the entire year, interspersed with fruit set.
The blossom spreads a nice sweet scent on the terrace.
You will harvest many fruits every year, because the Citrus Yuzu gives many fruits during the summer.
Water the plant on time and regularly fertilize it, or use a slow-release fertilizer such as Fertilizzante Mediterraneo.
