Jasminum sambac Arabian Nights or Arabian Jasmine.
Was already brought to Europe in the Middle Ages. The Arabian jasmine, as the plant is also called, is also widely found in Arab countries where it spreads its wonderful scent.
The flowers of the Jasminum sambac Arabian Nights smell quite strongly and spread a pleasant scent. The flowers are white in color and about 1.5 cm in size. In our climate, the plant blooms alternately in the summer months. After flowering, the plant will immediately produce new buds and will bloom again within a few weeks. It is also a climbing plant that needs a little bit of climbing support, such as a bamboo stick.
The flowers are also used as an aroma in jasmine tea and the oil is used for perfumes.
The Buddhists and Hindus use the flowers for offerings, they represent the symbol of purity.
The Jasminum sambac Arabian Nights is a real exotic and not hardy. Ideally overwinters at a temperature above +6ºC and do not keep the soil too wet if the plant overwinters coolly.
Normal watering and monthly fertilization from spring.
If the plant becomes too large, it can be pruned vigorously without any problems, you should do this in the autumn or early spring.
