Agastache Blue Fortune is also better known under the names Anise and Licorice plant.
As the name suggests, this perennial has nothing to do with the real anise (Pimpinella anisum).
But when the Agastache Blue Fortune leaf is bruised, an anise and drop fragrance is released.

This plant is a perennial and can be kept as a tub plant, but also in the open ground, for example as a border plant.
The leaf looks a bit like nettle but does not prick.
The aromatic leaf is also used for salads, tea and a fragrant potpourri.

From July the spectacle starts and the blue / purple flowers appear. The Agastache Blue Fortune continues until the end of September. The Dropplant attracts many butterflies!
It is a very strong bloomer that blooms for almost 3 months.
The plants are between 50/70 cm high.

Every soil type is fine as long as it is reasonably permeable. In the summer this perennial can get extra water in hot and dry weather.
Give the plant a sunny place, the harder and longer it will bloom. Give in May a small hand of cow manure grain and repeat this again in July.
In March you can remove the dead parts and from April the new shoots reappear. Professional planting 5-7 pieces per m².
Winter hardiness zone 6b (-20ºC).
