Crinodendron hookerianum is an evergreen shrub that comes from Chile. This beautiful and strong flowering plant can be kept as a tub plant.
The growth is very slow and therefore ideal for the cockpit, if it becomes too large, cutting is not a problem at any desired height.
The leaf feels somewhat leathery and is dark green in color, also this shrub is evergreen.

From May to August, this shrub flowers with bright red hanging flowers that grow to about 3 cm. The Crinodendron hookerianum should not be missed by the lover of flowers.
You can regularly fertilize the plant very light from April to September. If you want to overwinter this tropical-looking tub plant in a tub than the best at a location above freezing and not too dark.
Do not forget to water in the winter, evergreen plants always evaporate water.

If planted in the ground then the Crinodendron hookerianum likes some humus rich slightly acid soil and in the autumn against the winter you sprinkle a layer of peat around the plant.
It is an evergreen plant that is moderately hardy and can be placed in the ground in our climate if desired. However, apply protection from moderate frost to reduce the freezing of the buds and leaf damage.
