Product description

Rubus idaeus Heritage of Raspberry, this raspberry gets delicious big red fruits at the end of summer. The Rubus idaeus Heritage is also very well-liked and it is an autumn raspberry.

Did you know that there is less sugar in raspberry than in other berries?
Raspberries are very rich in phosphorus, potassium, vitamins and calcium.
This solid winter hard fruit plant grows up to 200 cm high and can be pruned too much.
A sunny place guarantees a good harvest! Raspberry does not make any demands on the soil type.
The relative planting distance is about 30 to 50 cm.

In May / June, the Rubus idaeus flourishes with white flowers, and blooms continue to continue quite well until July. This plant is self-pollinating and you can harvest from August to October. First, the raspberries are white / yellow and are ripe when they are reddish.
This raspberry gets large (2-3 cm diameter) really great tasty and juicy fruits. These raspberries can be eaten, but of course also very suitable for making jam or jam.
The species is not at all sensitive to disease. In winter, Rubida idaeus Heritage loses her leaf.

Pruning is done in autumn by cutting down the old stems that have worn down to the ground.
They are no longer giving fruit and die.
The new and thick shoots where you will find the fresh leaf leave you standing, they have grown out of the roots this year and give fruit next year. Leave 8 to 10 thick stems per autumn raspberry, cut the rest to the ground.
Winter hardness zone 6a (-22ºC).
