Hedychium dixter gives beautiful flowers from August to October.
This ginger species occurs in the Himalayas up to an altitude of 2500 meters.
The fresh green leaves of the Hedychium densiflorum dixter have leaf stalks that are fresh green in color.
The leaf looks a bit like that of the canna. This ginger is about 75/100 cm high and if it stays in a pot it may be a fairly large pot.

The large flowers are colored white / cream with a salmon-colored pestle and smell wonderful. The ginger may receive cow manure grain or other fertilization as fertilization during the season.
In winter, overwinter (in pot) at a temperature of + 1ºC or warmer in a light or dark place. Keep the soil as good as dry in the winter.
If planted in the open ground in a wet place, rather dig up tubers and overwinter frost free in peat due to root rot.

In a dry place in the winter with some covering of humus or tree bark, this ginger can simply overwinter in the ground.
Make sure that the frost can not get into the ground too deeply.
Often the winter hardy is not so important for gembers, when things go wrong in the open ground it is often due to a too wet spot where the ginger root rot.
