Product description

Hakonechloa macra Nicolas is a Japanese ornamental grass and hence the family of the Poaceae, despite this ornamental grass, has a lot of bamboo. In Japan Shokobutsu-gaku zasschi pronounced and comes from a mountain called Hakone in Japan.
The leaf is green in color, elongated in shape and grows overhanging.
This very slow growing but very special and elegant growth mode makes it suitable for him to keep in a jar or bowl.

Also in the full soil this ornamental grass species is a success, the leaf with its overhanging growth is so far over that the ends of the leaf almost hit the ground.
This grass type is a real eye-catcher in your garden.
In the months of August to October, the grass blossoms with small flower flowers that hardly reach the top of the leaf and are not really striking.

Noteworthy is the leaf discoloration in autumn, this is a true spectacle and then discolour the ends of the leaf to red / orange. In winter, Hakonechloa Macra Nicolas loses her leaf.
