Product description

Hakonechloa macra Albostriata is a Japanese ornamental grass and therefore family of the Poaceae, despite this ornamental grass looks a lot like bamboo. In Japan Shokobutsu-gaku zasschi pronounced and comes from a mountain called Hakone in Japan.
The leaves are fresh green in color and have a white grain in the middle, elongated in shape and growing overhanging.

This very slow growing but very special and elegant way of growing makes it suitable for keeping in a pot or tub, among other things.
This ornamental grass species is also a success in the open ground, the leaf with its overhanging habit is so far over that the ends of the leaf almost touch the ground again.
This type of grass is a real eye-catcher in your garden.

In the months of August to October, the grass blooms with small flower panicles that barely exceed the leaf and are not really noticeable.
What is striking is the leaf coloring in the fall, this is a true spectacle.
If the plant is in the shade, it changes to yellow and orange, but in a sunny place to lilac / purple.
