Rubus fruticosus Black Satin or blackberry is a pristine black broom, so pick up reluctantly without deflecting sharp thorns. This solid winter hard leaf fruit plant grows up to 150/200 cm high and can be pruned too much.
A sunny place guarantees a good harvest! On the soil type, the broom does not make any demands, if in summer it gets some water (do not let it dry out).

In May / June, the Rubus fruticosus Black Satin flourishes with pink / white colored flowers, and bloom continues to continue quite well until July. This plant is self-pollinating and you can harvest from July to October. First, the blackberries are bright red and are ripe when they are black.

This black bream gets large (3 to 4 cm diameter) really tasty and juicy fruits. These blackberries can be eaten, but of course also very suitable for making jam or jam.
The species is not at all sensitive to disease. In winter, the Rubus fruticosus Black Satin loses her magazine.
Winter hardness zone 4b (-30ºC).
