Bamboe-bamboo Fargesia robusta Campbell

The Fargesia robusta Campbell is suitable for cockpit, but also comes into its own as a solitary. This bamboo is also suitable for warmer places.
This bamboo is polishing and grows very contiguous and can therefore also be used very well for hedges and partitions.
The pollen is about 150 cm in diameter.

It is a beautiful Fargesia robusta species with white bracts and deep green stems which give a deep contrast.
The bract usually falls off in the winter.
The green glossy leaves are long and narrow up to 8 cm long and remain well in winter. On the underside of the leaf is a blue haze.
In the winter, this bamboo also stays green and does not lose any leaves.

After a few years it is a nice full compact bamboo bamboo with straight up stems.
The stems grow well for a Fargesia, about 1.5 to 2 cm in diameter.
Also, this bamboo does not proliferate and no root limiter is needed.
Winter hardiness zone 6a (-23ºC).
