Ficus carica Brown Turkey fig tree can be kept well in our climate.
This species is actually the best variety. She gets pretty big fruits and beautiful dark red flesh.
The fruits of the Brown Turkey ripen in August and are deliciously sweet to eat, but also for jam, chutney etc.
Fig trees can be kept in a tub or in the open ground.

Pruning of the bush occurs in the spring, then dead points are pruned to one knot. In the summer the buds of young shoots are pruned to 5-6 leaves.
Provide an open shrub that the light can easily reach the frame branches everywhere. Available green fruits for the fall of the winter can be picked. These do not survive the winter.
Young plants still protect in the winter until they have a trunk diameter of at least 3 cm.
