Product description

Annona muricata or guanábana also known under the name graviola is an evergreen fruit-bearing plant. The soursop comes from Central America and the Caribbean.
The leaf is up to 7 cm wide and 20 cm long, is glossy a dark green on the upper side, light green and some dull on the underside.

The particularly shaped blossom is white to cream colored and appears in the spring / early summer.
The fruits get a diameter of up to 15 cm and a length of 20 cm or more and can weigh more than 3 kilograms.
The soursop is a family of the Annona cherimola and also has some resemblance to this fruit.

The sour bag has white flesh when ripe and is juicy, tastes delicious and is deliciously sweet.
Medicinally, the soursop bag is used for high blood pressure.
Use of the Annona muricata could also prevent a form of Parkinson's disease and have a beneficial effect against breast cancer.

The soursop can grow up to more than 8 meters high, but as a tub plant it can also be kept well by cutting.
A sunny to slightly shady place is preferred.
The Annona muricata is not hardy. If it hibernates in a cool place, then a temperature of + 5ºC or higher is sufficient (be careful when watering, certainly not too wet).
But it can also be used as a houseplant during the winter, but not with heating and sufficient light.

Heb de plant in het voorjaar ontvangen en is goed gegroeid afgelopen zomer, staat prima in onze serre. Ben heel benieuwd hoe de vruchten smaken.
