Product description

Ammophilla arenaria belongs to the Poaceae (Grasses).
This perennial is between 80-120 cm high and the leaves are blue-green in color. In the months of June / July, gray-green blooms appear that later turn brown.

Hard grass is very drought resistant and also works well on poor poor sandy soil, where often other plants are much less satisfied.
The location may be sunny, but in a place partial shade is not a problem.
Often in the dunes you will find marram grass. Hard grass has the property that this spraying of the sand counteracts.

This ornamental grass can be applied very well for planting. The stalks waving in the wind are a treat for the eye. Helmet grass multiplies by root formation, where the root comes to the surface a new pol is formed.

Hard grass needs no fertilization and during a dry summer, spraying is just as unnecessary!
In the winter, the leaves turn yellow / brown and then completely diminish. In the early spring (March) you can cut the remaining leaves as low as possible. The winter hardiness of this type of grass is very good.
